Request Removal of Intimate Imagery
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Nonconsensual intimate imagery is prohibited on Zap and Zap Chat, including AI-generated or altered intimate images. If an image or video depicts you without your consent, you or your authorized representative can request its removal.
Send a removal request
Email thezapcompany@zapco.xyz with the subject Intimate image removal request. You may also use Contact & Support, or report the content inside the app.
- Your contact information and whether you are the depicted person or their authorized representative.
- The app and the post, message, account, URL or other non-graphic details sufficient to locate the specific image or video.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the content was published without the depicted person’s consent, and any relevant identifying facts.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name can serve as an electronic signature).
Do not attach the intimate image, suspected child sexual abuse material, your ID, or another person’s private information unnecessarily. Give identifiers that help us locate content already on the platform. We may contact you for clarification or appropriate verification.
What happens next
We review requests promptly. For a valid request covered by the TAKE IT DOWN Act, we remove the qualifying intimate depiction as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies. You do not need an account to submit a request. We may restrict access during review and retain limited evidence when law requires it; preserving restricted evidence does not keep the image publicly available. A request does not waive your other rights. If a platform fails to meet those requirements, information about reporting it is available at TakeItDown.ftc.gov.
For child sexual exploitation concerns, use the same contact and our Child Safety Standards. Suspected illegal material must not be redistributed. In an immediate emergency, call 911.
